WORCESTER: Adrienne M. (Lavoie) Courchesne, 89, of 80 Providence St. , died peacefully on Thursday, September 15, 2005, in UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus. Her former husband, Maurice R. Courchesne, died in 1968. She leaves her son, Richard M. Courchesne and his fiancÃe Judi Bernstein; a granddaughter, Rachel Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. She was born in Lewiston, Maine, daughter of the late Alfred and Eugenie (Gagnon) Lavoie. She was the youngest of fourteen children and graduated from the University of Montreal. She lived in Somerville for many years until moving to Worcester in 1983. Adrienne was a secretary and administrative assistant at Liberty Mutual Insurance where she worked more than 11 years until retiring in 1981. She previously worked 14 years with the former Craftsman Insurance which became part of the Hanover Insurance Company. Before she was married, she was a reporter for Le Messager, the largest French language newspaper in the United States. She was a longtime member and regular communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and genealogy.
