WORCESTER: Alexander G. Gazonas, 81, a retired Worcester Public Schools Art Teacher, died suddenly on Sunday, October 14, 2007. He leaves his wife, Helen (Kaplanes) Gazonas, after 47 years of marriage; a son, Thomas A. Gazonas; a daughter, Christine J. Gazonas, all of Worcester; a grandson, Nicholas; a brother, A. George Gazonas and his wife Dorothy of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Catherine Zarcone and her husband Charles of Wayne, PA. He was born in Norristown, PA, son of the late George and Georgia (Zekou) Gazonas, and graduated from Clark University, after seeing combat in the European Theatre for the U. S. Army during World War II. A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9 to 10 a. m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , immediately followed by A FUNERAL SERVICE at 10 a. m. in the funeral home.
