Anne Hurley

WORCESTER/PLEASANT HILL, TN – Anne Rose Hurley, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at her Uplands Village home in Pleasant Hill, TN. Born and raised in Worcester, she was a daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Ryan) Hurley. Anne is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John and his wife Pat. Anne was a graduate of North High School. She went on to further her education at Salve Regina College where she received her bachelor’s degree. After graduation, Anne proudly served her country as a nurse in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. After concluding her calling as a registered nurse, Anne went on to a second career as a certified public accountant. Anne enjoyed gardening, her cats, and horses including her late equine friend, September who she rode in dressage competition. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her brother, Paul Hurley of Brewer, ME, and many friends in her Uplands Village community. Anne will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family from 10 to 11 a. m. on Thursday, August 3 at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A memorial service will follow at 11 a. m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester.
