Audrey June (White) DiPilato, 92, of Boylston, MA, passed away peacefully at her home on February 17, 2024. She was born on September 11, 1931 in Middletown, Connecticut to the late Stephen and Julia (Hall) White. After high school she moved to Boylston with her parents and ten siblings, and stayed in Boylston to raise her own family, and there she remained for the rest of her life. Audrey was a devoted wife to her late husband John A. DiPilato, and a loving mother to her three sons, John, Joseph, and Jeffrey DiPilato.Audrey will be deeply missed by her three sons and surviving family, including her 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; her sisters, Colleen Russell and Sharon Paquette; her brother, Ronald White andmany nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband John A. DiPilato; father, Stephen White; mother, Julia “June” White; brother, Frederick White; brother, Stephen White; sister, Sandra Dunkerly; sister, Jacqueline Hartwell; brother, Theodore White; sister, Geraldine Breault; brother, Robert White; and her long time companion, Thomas Sims.Prior to her marriage, Audrey spent many years as a telephone operator. After her sons went off tocollege, Audrey embarked on her own educational journey, pursuing a degree in Nursing and obtaining her Registered Nursing certification. She furthered her education at Worcester State College, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Health.Audrey's passion for nursing led her to a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse, working at Worcester County Hospital, Glavin Regional Center and UMass Medical Hospital. Throughout her years of service,she touched the lives of many patients and colleagues with her compassionate care.She was a woman of faith, actively involved in her Christian community and her church family at HoldenChapel. In her free time, Audrey found joy in various hobbies. Audrey had a green thumb and lovedtending her fruit trees and vegetable garden. She took pleasure in canning tomatoes and baking delicious treats. Additionally, Audrey enjoyed spending time at the beach, attending plays and spending quality time with loved ones, engaging in card and board game playing. She was happiest sitting in her backyard with family, enjoying the beauty and gardens.Audrey's dedication, love, and compassion to her family, her patients, and her Christian community will always be cherished and remembered.A ceremony to celebrate Audrey's life will be held at Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir St, Holden, MA on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM, where she found solace in her faith.
