WORCESTER: Carl E. Rising II, 60, of 121 Acushnet Ave. , died Friday, January 9, 2009, at UMass Memorial Medical Center- University Campus. He leaves his wife of almost 30 years, Pamela A. (Farrell) Rising; his daughter, Melanie M. Rising; his son, Carl E. Rising, Jr. ; all of Worcester; also his dog and best buddy, Mac. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Carl E. Rising, Sr. and Florence B. (Theriault) Rising and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Carl worked as an Auto Technician for 42 years in the Worcester area. He was owner and operator of Buddyâs Garage and Carlâs Automotive. He also worked as an Auto Body Technician for many years, until he retired. He was a member of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Association. He was a quiet, private man who enjoyed the outdoors and the serenity of fishing. Carlâs nature was so gentle that chipmunks would run under his chair as he sat outside his home. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. The family suggests donations in memory of Carl be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St. , Worcester, MA 01606.
