Carlton E. Cutty

WORCESTER: Carlton E. Cutty, 78, of 9 Canton St. , died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 11 Pontiac Ave. , Webster, after a long illness. His wife of 43 years, Dorothy I. (Chiginsky) Cutty, died June 1, 2002. He leaves a daughter Colleen L. Cutty of Putnam, CT; a stepson, Daniel D. Silver of Phoenix, AZ; 3 step grandchildren, Daniel M. Silver, Jeffrey Silver and Gary Silver. A son, David D. Silver of Worcester, died in 1971, and a daughter, Dianne Silver of Delray Beach, FL, died in 1996. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Robert F. and Letitia M. (Alix) Cutty. He was a life long resident of the city, a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School, and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Carl was an electronics technician for the Raytheon Corporation, where he worked for 34 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union No. 1505 and the Grafton American Legion Post No. 92. He enjoyed fishing and watching golf on the television. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
