Carol A. (Morris) Shedd

OXFORD, MA - Carol A. (Morris) Shedd, 71, died on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at UMass Memorial- University Campus in Worcester, after a long illness. She leaves her husband of almost 53 years, Roger S. Shedd; two daughters, Sandra L. Leahey and her husband David of Cary, North Carolina, Susan L. Weagle and her fiancà Richard Stebbins of West Warren; a son, Roger A. Shedd and his wife Tina of North Brookfield; a brother, Raymond D. Morris and his wife Dotty of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Linda S. Hopkins and her husband Tom of Boston, Nancy M. Contois and her husband Mark of Palmer; 11 grandchildren, Sean, Ryan, Caitlin, Adam, Christopher, James, Candyce and Cassandra, William, Michael and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late James D. âDougâ Morris and Florence A. (Dolan) Morris. She graduated from Classical High School, the former Wardâs Secretarial School and earned her paralegal degree from Becker Junior College in 1990. She lived in Oxford since 1963. Carol worked as a paralegal with James Gavin Reardon, Jr. at Reardon & Reardon Attorneys at Law in Worcester for many years. She was Past President of the WCLSA from 1993-1995 and was voted Legal Secretary of the Year in 1996 by the Massachusetts Association of Legal Secretaries. She was also a member of the Oxford Womenâs Club and an avid football and baseball fan. She enjoyed gardening, ocean cruises and spending time in Key West. CALLING HOURS are 4 to 8 P. M. on MONDAY, SEPT. 23 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. in Worcester. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 A. M. on TUESDAY, SEPT. 24, in the funeral home.
