WORCESTER: Catherine W. (Crouse) Hebb, 100, of 124 Burncoat St. , formerly of 15 Brandon Rd. , died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, in her home. Her husband of 69 years, Merle W. Hebb, died June 3, 1993. She leaves two sons, Willis E. Hebb of Worcester, Merle R. Hebb of Lauderhill, Fla. , five grandchildren, including Donald S. Hebb of Worcester and Karen E. Berggren of Wapaihu, Hawaii; eight great grandchildren; two great-great granddaughters; many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Edward C. Hebb of Worcester, all predeceased her. She was born August 9, 1904 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of the late George E. and Florence C. (Crouse) Crouse. She lived here since 1925. Catherine once worked as a salesperson for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She then worked as a sales clerk at John C. MacInnes Department Store and later at Talbots Department Store. She was a longtime member of Greendale People's Church and its Proto No. 2. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and a member of the Utopia Rebekah Lodge No. 107 for more than 55 years. She enjoyed spending time playing the piano and playing cards. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. The family suggests donations in Catherine's memory be made to the Merle W. Hebb Endowment Fund, c/o Greendale People's Church, 25 Francis St. , P. O. Box 74, Greendale Station, Worcester, MA 01606-0074.
