WORCESTER: Cecile E. (Chenette) Gallant, 93, of 9 Fales St. , died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, in the Lutheran Home of Worcester, 26 Harvard St. Her husband of 41 years, Arthur C. Gallant, died in 1976. She leaves a daughter, Betty A. Thebodo of Worcester; a sister, M. A. Claire Chenette of Worcester; two grandsons, Paul R. "Ricky" Thebodo, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Worcester, and Michael A. Thebodo of Worcester. Three brothers, Wilbrod Chenette, Alfred Chenette, George Chenette, and a sister Annette Chenette, all predeceased her. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late William J. and Agnes M. (Giguere) Chenette and lived in Worcester most of her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker College Class of 1930. Cecile worked as an insurance underwriter with several insurance companies in the Worcester area for many years. She then worked in the tool crib at Norton Company for 10 years. After that she worked in the office at Vellumoid, Inc. for 17 years until she retired in 1973. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Saturday, Dec. 18, in OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY CHURCH, 25 Fales St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
