Chase Mcgann

August 20, 1985 — September 24, 2023

RUTLAND - Chase Edward McGann, 38, of Rutland, MA, passed away on September 24, 2023, in Worcester. Born on August 20, 1985, in Worcester, Chase was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.

Chase lived most of his life in his beloved hometown, Rutland, MA. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and possessed a strong love for the open road, appreciating the freedom it bestowed upon him. He was also a skilled cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations.

Above all else, Chase held a deep affection for his family and took great pride in their accomplishments. He found solace in the companionship of his dogs and enjoyed playing mini golf and bowling with his brothers, Owen III and Samuel. Chase shared a special bond with his father, Owen Jr., as they shared their love for cooking, cars, and quality time spent together.

Chase was a calm and caring individual. An act of kindness highlighted his selflessness when he recently received a $10 McDonald's gift card from his brother Owen III on his birthday. Instead of indulging himself, Chase used it to provide a meal for himself and an elder roommate, embodying his caring nature.

Chase is survived by his mother, Gail McGann, and his siblings: Owen McGann III, John McGann, Briana Lowell, and Daniel Friend. He was also a beloved nephew to Eileen and George Mahowald, Kathleen and Bob Burns, Kristen McGann, Patricia McGann-Zionts, Joan Ferris, and Mary Jane and Michael Pagnoni. Chase was an uncle to his nieces and nephews: Amber, Ashley, Cameron, Conner, Ryder, and Cody.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen McGann Jr., and his brother, Samuel McGann.

Chase's memory will be cherished and treasured by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid farewell to our dear Chase, may his soul find eternal peace.
