Deborah Leguern

October 2, 1957 — April 20, 2022

WORCESTER/SHREWSBURY – Deborah (Gargiulo) LeGuern, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the Odd Fellows Home in Worcester after a long illness. Born in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of George Gargiulo and the late Ruth (Carlson) Gargiulo. Deborah was a graduate of Hicksville High School in NY. After relocating to Shrewsbury, she went on to enjoy her career as a manager in the market research field. She was a member of St. Anne’s Parish in Shrewsbury for many years. She loved to cook and host big holiday dinners for family and friends and was famous for her Easter pies. In her spare time, she enjoyed trips to New York to visit family and friends and trips to the casino as well as playing her numbers. Coffee and conversation with friends and loved ones was always a delight to her. She had a big heart and would do anything for the people she loved. She will be remembered by many and missed by all. Deborah’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to her many friends and to the staff at the Odd Fellows home for the kind and compassionate care she received during her illness. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her children, Stephen LeGuern of Gardner, Nicole LeGuern and her fiancé, Tyson Mannix of Sturbridge, Derek LeGuern and his wife, Jolene of Shrewsbury and Michael Calnan and his partner, Melissa Herron of Worcester; her father and step-mother, George and Ray Gargiulo of Bronx, NY; her step-brother, George Gargiulo and his wife, Jean Marie of NY; her two grandchildren, Dustin LeGuern and Tyson Mannix; her nephew, Daniel Harte; and her former husband, Etienne “Steve” LeGuern of Gardner. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her sister and very best friend, Lynn Harte. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family from 6 to 8 p. m. on Thursday, April 28 in the Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
