WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS, USA: Diana J. Pettersson, 65, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Parsons Hill Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, after a long illness. She leaves her husband, Bengt A. Pettersson of Sweden; her mother, Geraldine E. Connell and step-father, Everton M. Connell of Worcester; a brother, David M. Connell and his wife Cheryl of Northbridge; three sisters, Deborah C. Connell and E. Jacqueline Connell, both of Worcester, Juliette M. Connell of Miami, FL; an uncle, Ivan Clarke of Canada; two aunts, Millicent C. Nurse of Barbados and Anita Greenidge of the United Kingdom; two nieces, Tiffany and Leah; three nephews, Matthew, Michael and Joshua; many cousins and friends around the world. Her father, Orbey Haynes, and four uncles, Austin Clarke and James Nurse, both of Barbados, Llewellyn Clarke and Rev. Dennis Greenidge, Sr. , both of the United Kingdom, all predeceased her. Diana was born in Barbados and lived in England and Sweden before moving to Worcester more than 20 years ago. She worked as a Missionary and Evangelist serving in England, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Holland. Prior to her illness she attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Worcester. She loved preaching the Gospel, sewing, knitting, cooking and arts and crafts. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests donations in memory of Diana be made to the Residentâs Recreation Fund at Parsons Hill Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, 1350, Main St. , Worcester, MA 01603.
