Donald Blom

BOYLSTON -- Donald Blom, Jr.,79, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Don was born in Paterson, New Jersey. He came from a rural family of Dutch descent, spending his youth fishing, hunting, and working a milk route. He was the first in his family to go to college, earning an accounting degree and MBA from Northeastern University in 1970. Don went on to a successful career in finance. He found his true passion in nature, appreciating wildlife and always maintaining a bountiful vegetable garden.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Andrew and spouse Kristy Webber of Mount Pleasant, MI; Catharine and spouse Jeffrey Cole of Burlington, MA; and Adam and spouse Talia Karchem of Reading, MA; his brother Robert of Eatontown, NJ; and his grandchildren Ethan, Julia, Elliot, Emilia, and Elise.

Don’s life will be celebrated in a private family memorial.
