Douglas Thomas

Douglas J. Thomas, age 66, of Bourne, passed away Monday, July 1st, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. 

Doug was the son of the late George and Jane (Bates) Thomas. He was predeceased by his wife Diane (Duquette) Thomas.

He leaves behind two daughters, Bethany Bousquet and her husband Rick, Danielle Thomas all of Millbury, stepson Matthew Farrell of Texas, five grandchildren, Abagale Flynn, Nicole Bousquet, Lillian Bousquet, Avery Oquendo, and Isabelle Thomas, three siblings, Beth Porter and her husband David of Berlin, Bradley Thomas and his fiance Kellie of Millbury, and George Thomas and his wife Jackie of Palm Bay FL, five nieces and nephews.

Doug was born and raised in Millbury and graduated from Millbury High School in 1977. He raised his family in Worcester. He worked as a truck driver, and was a member of the Teamsters Local 170 before retiring to the Cape to be close to the water.

He enjoyed spending time on his boat, fishing,eating the local seafood, riding his electric bike on the canal, and sitting by the water listening to live music. 

At Doug's request there will be no services. Instead his family invites all to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 27th, 2024 from 1pm - 4pm at the American Legion Post #443, 167 Main St Cherry Valley, MA.
