HOLDEN: Edith M. (Kelley) Grady, 85, of 29 Dawson Circle, formerly of West Boylston St. in Worcester, died peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. Her husband of 35 years, Michael P. Grady, died February 18, 1988. She leaves 3 sons, Shaun E. Grady and his wife Cordelia of Holden, Michael P. Grady and his wife Lynda of West Boylston, David P. Grady and his wife Laurie of Shrewsbury; 2 daughters, Catherine L. Stockmal and her husband Joe of Holden, Jennifer M. Dorsey and her husband Timothy of Swampscott; 2 sisters, Mary Smart of North Carolina and Virginia Hatszadakas of California; 2 brothers, Harold Kelley of Shrewsbury and Frank Kelley of Florida; 9 grandchildren, Timothy, Lori, Noah, Angela, Patrick, Kelli, Joey, Emily, and Michael; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, William and Ralph Kelley, both predeceased her. She was born and raised in Northborough, daughter of the late William and Lillian (Coons) Kelley and was a graduate of Northborough High School. She lived most of her life in Worcester before moving to Holden in 1993. Edith was a graduate of the Worcester Art Museum School. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a former parish member and CCD Instructor at St. Christopherâs Church. A kind and gentle woman, Edie enjoyed art, art history, painting, cooking, gardening and classical music. She was an avid animal lover and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 7 p. m. on THURSDAY, SEPT. 15 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , Worcester. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 9:30 A. M. on FRIDAY, SEPT. 16 at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 353 Grove St. , Worcester. Burial will follow at St. Johnâs Cemetery in Worcester.
