Edward Kane, Jr.

Edward H. Kane Jr. , 92, passed away peacefully June 1, 2022. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Edward H. Kane Sr. and Marion (Wood) Kane. He is predeceased by his wife June (Collins) Kane, grandson Samuel J. Kane and brothers, Lee, James, and Jeffrey Kane. He leaves two sisters Maureen Pottle, Lois Grosse and several nieces and nephews. He leaves behind seven children, Sandra Ackerman, Susan Johnson, Cynthia Merchant, Steven Kane, Robin Houde, Brian Kane, Holly Kane, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ed served in the U. S. Navy in the Korean War. He was a former Lieutenant on the Worcester Fire Department at the Southbridge St Station Engine 2. He sang in the choir at St Patrick’s church and Greendale Peoples Chorus. He was proud of his Irish heritage, and was always singing. Ed will always be remembered by family and friends that love him so much. There are no Calling hours. A funeral service will be held at St Patrick’s church 258 Main St Rutland, Ma on Saturday, June 11, 2022 @ 11:00 am.
