WORCESTER: Edward W. Fallon, 82, formerly of Paine St. , died Wednesday, February 16, 2005 in Odd Fellows Home, 104 Randolph Rd. , after a brief illness. He leaves his brother, William J. Fallon and his wife Frances of West Boylston; a niece, Patricia A. Sweet of Spencer; a nephew, William J. Fallon, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Mashpee; eight great nieces and great nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of the late William J. and Rose A. (Dolan) Fallon, and lived here all his life. He graduated from Commerce High School. Ed worked as a security guard at Worcester County Hospital for 20 years, until retiring. He was also active in area politics and the Worcester Democratic City Committee. In his early years, Ed was involved in coaching football with area war veterans, and was instrumental in the placement of the Britain Square War Memorial. He was a member of St. Bernard's Church and the Alhambra Council No. 88 Knights of Columbus. A CALLING HOUR will be from 9:15 a. m. to 10:15 a. m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, in RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave. , followed by A FUNERAL MASS at 11 a. m. in ST.
