Eleanor "Ellie" BossAugust 27, 1936 – September 8, 2024 

Eleanor "Ellie" Boss, of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on August 27, 1936, to Hector and Elizabeth (Maynard) Beland, Ellie wasa proud graduate of Holy Name High School. She spent most of her life in Worcester, where she grew up and raised her family, before moving to Shrewsbury in her later years.  Ellie had a successful career as a loan officer, first at WCIS and later at UMass Five College Federal Credit Union. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Albert Beland, her beloved husband Edward Boss, and her son Gary Boss. She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Elaine Stark, and her husband Scott Stark of Shrewsbury; her granddaughter Bryanna; her great-grandsons Colton and Drew, who were the light of her life; her brother Roger Beland and his wife Tricia; and many nieces and nephews. Ellie had a passion for adventure. She loved taking Saturday road trips with her husband, Eddie, often getting wonderfully lost along the way. Old Orchard Beach, ME, was her special retreat, where she and Eddie spent many summers as seasonal campers at Powder Horn Campground. In her later years, she enjoyed Friday night movies with her brother and sister-in-law and taking cruises to far-off places. Ellie’s adventurous spirit was ever present, and her love for life radiatedthrough everything she did.  She also took great pride in creating scrapbooks for her grandchildren, preserving precious memories that will be cherished for generations. Her family trips to Disney World brought her endless joy, and she will forever be remembered for her giving heart, thoughtful advice, and her incomparable hugs.Ellie will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her family will hold a private celebration of her life.
