Emilio Pawlowicz

April 5, 1942 — August 11, 2024

AUBURN – Emilio Mario Pawlowicz, 82, beloved husband of Ercilia C. (Ianiero) Pawlowicz, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, August 11, 2024.  Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he was the son of the late Emilio and Ana (Holub) Pawlowicz.

Emilio was a unique and special man to many who knew him.  He will be remembered for his peaceful manner, wisdom and patient personality.  He left a profound impact on everyone who knew him. His love and guidance extended beyond his family, as he was also a remarkable father figure, uncle, or friend to many people in many communities, including other countries. He truly lived a life of love for people and was a friend to all who knew him. Emilio had a talent for evoking calm and peace, making everyone comfortable in his presence.  He was a sheet metal fab foreman in his earlier years and an avid entrepreneur in ventures ranging from real estate to cryogenic freezing. A natural teacher, he helped anyone willing to listen. During his last days, Emilio was seen smiling.  When he was asked to share what he was smiling about, he simply replied “the good life is having great friends”.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 60 years, Ercilia Pawlowicz of Auburn: his daughter, Claudia Dexter and her husband, Jason of Charlton: his son, Andrew Pawlowicz and his wife, Silvia Rebecchi of Milan, Italy; his brother, Alberto Pawlowicz and his wife, Carol O’Brien of Worcester; his grandson, Nathan Dexter and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service celebrating Emilio’s life at 11am on Friday, August 23 at Village Congregational Church, Whitinsville, MA.  A private burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery,  Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross, www.redcross.org.  Arrangements are under the care of Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 157 Lincoln Street, Worcester.  www.kellycremation.com
