Eva Marie Rice Mensah passed away on May 23rd, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Eva was born on December 1, 1972 , to Gloria Rice and was the first grandchild of Naomi and Donald Rice. She was the apple of their eye and loved dearly. Eva leaves behind her lifetime partner, Wonder Adjel, who meant the world to her. Eva was many things in her life, but her greatest joy was being a mother. Eva is survived by four children, Vinson Duke Robinson Mangos Jr. , Keeshawn Marquise Rice, Dobbie James Wilson, and Mariah Monet Johnson; three sisters who she loved very much, Annette Harris and her husband Angel Martinez (Zappo), Virginia Harris and her wife Lisa Harris, and her youngest sister to whom she was “sissy”, Christina Harris and her husband Vernon Little. Eva enjoyed spending time with her children, and long phone calls with them. Eva also had 15 grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was also Auntie Eva to many nieces and nephews. Eva will best be remembered for her undying loyalty, and her amazing sense of humor and many people’s biggest supporters. She was like a second mother to all her sisters. Eva had a huge heart and she would give anything for her family. Anyone who knew Eva knew that if they just needed to vent or talk they could call her and she would listen. Eva enjoyed a good, as her daughter called it, “tea session” with her sisters and daughter. They would sit on the phone for hours talking about anything and everything. She enjoyed visits from her sons and grandchildren and always had a listening ear. She was very proud of all her children and her little sisters. Calling hours for Eva Rice Mensah will be held on Friday, May 26th, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm immediately followed by a funeral service at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
