WORCESTER: Eva (Gonzalez) Martinez, 49, of 57 Eastern Ave. , formerly of the Republic of Panama, died Thursday, October 9, 2008, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, after an illness. Her husband, James Martinez, died January 20, 1996. She leaves 3 sons, Julio C. Coffre of Worcester, Jimmy L. Martinez of Fort Drum, NY, Alex R. Martinez of Worcester; her mother, Elvira Valdes of Boqueron in the Republic of Panama; 2 brothers, Roberto Valdes and Ricardo Gonzalez, both of Panama; 2 sisters, Carmen Maria Brennan of Worcester, Jasmin Vejerano of Panama; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Juan C. Vejerano, and a sister, Estela Gonzales, both predeceased her. She was born in the Republic of Panama, daughter of the late Gil Gonzalez, and was a graduate of Felix Olivares Contrera in David, Panama. She lived in New London, CT, before moving to Worcester 5 years ago. Eva was as a Certified Nurses Aide and worked at the Lutheran Home of Worcester for several years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Quaker Hill, CT. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
