WORCESTER: Evelyn M. (Butler) Donahue, 84, formerly of Burncoat Terrace, later a resident of the Colony Retirement Community, 485 Grove St. , died peacefully Sunday morning, April 10, 2011, at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center. Her husband of 34 years, Edmond J. Donahue, died January 19, 1988. She leaves her sister, Patricia T. Long of North Hampton, NH; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; 2 great grandnephews and a great grandniece. Two brothers, William J. Butler of Clinton and John F. Butler of Worcester, both predeceased her. Evelyn was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late William J. and Mary V. (Donnelly) Butler and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a member of St. Paulâs Cathedral where she volunteered with the Outreach Program. She had also been an associate volunteer with the Sisters of Mercy. In addition to being an active member of the community, she loved spending time with her family. CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 P. M. on FRIDAY, APRIL 15, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 A. M. on SATURDAY, APRIL 16, in ST. PAULâS CATHEDRAL, 15 Chatham St. Burial will follow in St. Johnâs Cemetery.
