WORCESTER: Francis J. McKinnon, Jr. , 48, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 16, 2016. He leaves a son, Shawn M. McKinnon; his mother, Bridget P. (Kilcoyne) McKinnon; a brother, James A. McKinnon, all of Worcester; two sisters, Bridget A. Ferrazzano and her husband Thomas of Fitchburg and Donna M. McKinnon of Worcester; a nephew, Kevin J. McKinnon and a niece, Kathleen F. McKinnon; his goddaughter, Ashley Colby; and his long time friend, Christine Fitzpatrick. His paternal grandparents, James and Nora (Burke) McKinnon and his maternal grandparents, Peter and Ann (Gallagher) Kilcoyne, all predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester son of the late Francis J. McKinnon. He attended Burncoat Senior High School and graduated from St. Peter-Marian High School. He also earned an Associates Degree from Quinsigamond Community College and was a life long resident of the city. Fran had worked as an Opticianâs Assistant at BJâs in Leominster and at the Wal-Mart Eye Care Centers in Northboro and in Hudson. He attended Mass at St. Bernardâs Church, now known as Our Lady of Providence Parish. He enjoyed going to the beach, fishing, shopping, playing sports and spending time making his family happy. CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 p. m. on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A. M. on THURSDAY, APRIL 21 in ST. BERNARDâS CHURCH, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. Johnâs Cemetery.
