WORCESTER: Frank J. Clarke, 82 of 1050 Main St. , formerly of Litchfield St. , died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004 in Radius Healthcare Center, 119 Providence St. , with his family at his side. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Ellen C. (Bovenzi) Clarke; two daughters, Nancy G. , wife of Mitchell J. Gill of Worcester, Ann Marie, wife of David H. O'Gara of Auburn; three sisters, Cecile Bender of Worcester, Eva Savage of Melbourne, Fla. , Dorothy Brooks of Auburn; three brothers, Harry Clarke of Worcester, Walter Clarke of West Brookfield, Robert Clarke of Worcester; six grandchildren, Jennifer A. Gill, Mitchell J. Gill, II, Kerry P. Gill, Andrea L. Gill, Chelsea J. O'Gara, David H. O'Gara, Jr. ; many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Virginia Nagle and Laura Mahan, both predeceased him. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Harry and Annie M. (Carroll) Clarke. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. Frank was a maintenance worker at Astra Pharmaceutical for 18 years, retiring in 1982. He previously worked in the maintenance department at Thomas Smith Company for many years. After retiring, he delivered meals to the elderly for 18 years with the Worcester Age Center Meals on Wheels Program. He was a member of the English Social Club, the Franco-American Club, and a member and past president of Main South Post Veterans of Foreign Wars. CALLING HOURS are 5 to 7:30 p. m. , Thursday, Dec. 16, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , followed by a FUNERAL SERVICE at 7:30 p. m. in the funeral home. After cremation, burial of ashes will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA, at the convenience of the family.
