WORCESTER: Gary T. McGrath, 56, of 7 Woodridge Rd. , died at home on Monday, December 15, 2008, after a long illness. He leaves two brothers, Brian P. McGrath, with whom he lived, Mark F. McGrath and his wife Cynthia of Cornish, Maine; a sister, Maureen E. Paradise and her husband Leon of Auburn; and two nephews, Sean and Ryan McGrath. Another brother, John P. McGrath, Jr. , died in 1962. He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late John P. and Revina Ann (Carlson) McGrath. He was a graduate of Burncoat Senior High School and an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary was a line painter for the Massachusetts Highway Department where he worked for many years, until leaving work this year due to illness. He was an avid sports fan and especially fond of the Red Sox and the Patriots. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and match box cars. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be in St. Johnâs Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
