Hans Ericson

Hans Christopher Ericson, aged 59, passed away peacefully and surrounded by friends and family on July 29, 2024. Born on March 11, 1965, in Alameda, California, Hans was known for his vibrant personality, quick wit, and love for his family and friends.

Hans graduated from Laurens Central School in 1983 and went on to build a career as an IBEW Journeyman Lineman, in which he excelled for more than 30 years. His dedication was evident in the respect he earned from his peers and the pride he took in his work.

Outside of his professional life, Hans was an avid collector with a sharp eye for unique and special items. He was also a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on. Hans found joy in fishing and treasured the moments he spent by the water. 

Hans’s larger-than-life personality was a hallmark of his character. His laughter was contagious and could light up any room, and his love for cracking jokes brought smiles to everyone around him. His presence was always felt, and his warmth and humor left a lasting impact on those who knew him.

He is survived by his two sons, Chad and Kyle Ericson, his father, Jon “Eric” Ericson, his two brothers and two sisters, and their children. Hans was predeceased by his mother, Bette Ericson, and his nephew, Eric Ericson, whom he held close in his heart.

Hans will be deeply missed, but he will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew him.
