PAXTON: Helyn L. (Austikolins) Lamotte, 87, formerly of Marshall St. , died Friday, July 18, in Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Worcester. Her husband of 45 years, George C. Lamotte, died December 10, 1985. She leaves two daughters, Diane J. Riopel and her husband Don of Spencer, Karen J. Wylie and her husband Jim of Ridgefield, CT; four sons, George C. Lamotte, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Worcester, Paul S. Lamotte of Worcester, Mark S. Lamotte of Florida and Jeffrey Lamotte and his wife Carol also of Florida; a sister, Sister Dorothy Austikolins of Latham, NY; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Adele Lawrence and Elizabeth Alavosius, and a brother, Francis Collins, all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Stanley and Veronica (Neurke) Austikolins, and graduated from Commerce High School. She lived most of her life in Paxton until moving to Florida in 1987. She returned to Worcester in 2000 to be with her extended family. Helyn was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends who were the center of her life. She had been a longtime member of St. Columba Church, an active member of its Womenâs Guild, a Cub Scout Den Mother, and an avid reader. CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 p. m. on SUNDAY, July 20, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , Worcester. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a. m. on MONDAY, July 21, in ST. COLUMBA CHURCH, 18 Richards Ave. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.
