WORCESTER - Howard (Howie, Howdy) Egenlauf of Worcester, passed in peace Thursday, Nov. 10th, 2022 at the age of 87. Preceded in death by Brother Thomas Egenlauf and Sister- Evelyn (Egenlauf) Helmer, Wife- Doris M. (Chassion) Egenlauf, Son- Shawn M. Egenlauf, Daughter- Heidi A. (Clay) Egenlauf and Grandson- Jayce M. Bonet. Survived by Brother- William Egenlauf, Sisters- Goldie Chesneski and Bonnie Warman. Stepfather of Laurie (Anderson) Reed and Babette (Anderson) Brown. Loving father of Von Bucek, Paula J. (Egenlauf) Dzivasen and Thomas G. Egenlauf. Proud Grandfather to whom he raised as his own - Jenna N. Prokopowich, Andrew S. Clay, and Thomas J. Clay. Further survived by other grandchildren and relatives. Howard will fondly be remembered by family and friends as one of a kind. He took pride in building and racing Soap Box Derby with friends and many of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed and spent many years of his life building his home for his family and taking pride is the “My door is always open” policy. He spent his final days doing what he loved most- raising his grandchildren and rebuilding his home. He will be deeply missed and always loved. No formal services will be held.
