WORCESTER: Jaan Lokk, 84, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Knollwood Nursing Center, after a long illness. His wife of 35 years, Renate (Kaag) Lokk, died March 20, 1987. He leaves a daughter, Karin Gilbert and her husband Michael of Acton; a granddaughter, Daniela Constantino and her husband Jeff of New York City; a grandson, Andrew Gilbert of Brighton; and several cousins in Estonia. He was born in Tartu, Estonia, son of the late Edward and Maria (Rosenthal) Lokk. He moved to the United States in 1957 and lived in Berlin, MA before moving to Worcester where he lived most of his life. He attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute after earning the equivalent of an associate degree in Estonia. Jaan was a mechanical engineer at Norton Company where he worked for more than 20 years, until he retired. A CALLING HOUR will be held from 3 to 4 P.
