Jacob David Danian, 67, of Worcester, Massachusetts, was born on July 13, 1956 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He passed away in Worcester on May 23, 2024.
Dave had a remarkable journey in life and reinvented himself multiple times. Without formal education, he taught himself computer programming to provide for his three young daughters after a divorce. Dave had a long and successful career as a systems analyst, most proud of his time at Digital and Intel.
In 2012, a life-long battle of addiction forced him to reinvent himself once again. The next (and last) 12 years of his life were spent humbly and happily while living one day at a time. His daughters are indebted to his 7am family who supported him during times when they could not. To his 7am family, thank you for laughing with him, holding him accountable, and going to breakfast with him every morning – you gave him the full life he deserved.
Dave spent 2023 undergoing successful chemotherapy and radiation in response to a lung cancer diagnosis but spent only six months cancer free. His second diagnosis with lung cancer proved short and unmerciful. He died at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester only two weeks after the second diagnosis.
Dave is survived by his three daughters and a son-in-law, Davina Danian, Noelle Danian and Michael Donohoe, and Jolene Danian. He is also remembered by his three granddaughters, Eva Donohoe, Poppy Donohoe, and Ayla Danian. He also leaves a sister and a brother-in-law, two nephews, many cousins, and more. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Haroian, and two aunts who were instrumental in his upbringing and character – Eva Hightaian and Mary Tashjian.
A private remembrance to honor Jacob David Danian's life will be held in early June.
Rest in Peace, Dad.
