WORCESTER: James E. Shatos, 77, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 13, 2013. He leaves his wife of 23 years, Edna (Dacuycuy) Shatos; four children, Roxanne E. Shatos, Judith OâMalley, Linda Morrissey, Rick Shatos and his wife Denise, two step-children, Richelle and Ryan Panopio; four grandchildren, Sarah and David OâMalley, Matthew and John Shatos; and his best friend Ronnie. His brother, Robert Shatos, predeceased him. He was born in Gardner, son of the late Veto and Rose (Snapauskas) Shatos. He lived most of his life in Worcester and was a graduate of Worcester Boyâs Trade High School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Jim worked at Norton Company for 30 years until retiring in 1993. After he retired he worked part-time at Price Chopper on Park Ave. He was an active member of A. S. K. (Associates for Scriptural Knowledge). He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, raising mink and all New England Sports Teams. Among his favorite activities he was known for his regular trips to Dunkin Donuts. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
