James Oteri

LUNENBURG/BELMONT – James T. Oteri, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Born in Boston, he was the son of Charles and Eleanor (Dudley) Oteri.

James grew up in Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School. He went on to work for over 34 years for Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. He proudly raised his family in Revere then Belmont. The family remembers fondly their trip to Italy in 2004. He was an avid fisherman, especially the Sudbury and Concord Rivers, and an amazing cook.

He will be remembered as a loving father and wonderful husband.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Kathryn (Rivers) Oteri, 3 children, Taralynne Oteri Fitzpatrick and her husband, Chris of Springfield, Melissa Ellen Carter and her husband, Jason of Wells, ME, Daniel Edward Oteri and his wife, Catherine of Lunenburg; 2 grandchildren, Zoey and James; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Gregory Oteri, sisters, Edith Kelley, Concetta Oteri and Janet O’Neil.

At this time, there are no services scheduled. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kelly Cremation & Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester.
