WORCESTER: James Robert Standring, 55, died unexpectedly in his home on Friday, March 23, 2018. He leaves his wife of 31 years, Patricia A. (Rojcewicz) Standring; a son, Eric R. Standring and his wife Niura of Worcester; his parents, Robert F. Standring of Deltona, FL and Madelyn A. (Hjelm) DeSalvio of Worcester; three sisters, Kim A. Nichols of Worcester, Maureen E. Gauvin and her husband Norman of Dudley, Brenda M. Boucher and her husband Joe of Worcester; his father-in-law, Robert E. Rojcewicz of Grafton; his brother-in-law, William E. Rojcewicz and his wife Evelyn of Worcester; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. His son, Joshua James Standring, died on February 24th. His mother-in-law, Marjorie J. (Smith) Rojcewicz, died on September 25, 2005. He was born and raised in Worcester and was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade High School. Jim worked as a machinist at O. S. Walker for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, Patriots football, the beach and spending time with family, especially his brother-in-law Billy and his wife Evelyn. CALLING HOURS will be from 2 to 4 p. m. on SATURDAY, MARCH 31st at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln Street, followed by a FUNERAL CEREMONY in Celebration of Jimâs Life at 4 p. m. , in the funeral home.
