Janet D. Forget

Janet D. Forget, of Worcester, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on February 3, 2025, just shy of her 89th birthday. She is the beloved daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Perreault) Beando.

Born on February 5, 1936, Janet spent most of her life in the Worcester area. She eventually moved to Northborough to begin a family. After many years living in Northborough, Janet made the decision to move back to her childhood neighborhood in Worcester. Janet worked in administration for over 20 years before her retirement but continued to volunteer for Meals on Wheels until the age of 81.

Janet was a very active and social person, whether she was taking long walks or dancing, or cooking classic Italian dishes for her family. She was particularly fond of jazz music and Frank Sinatra. Above all, Janet adored her family and spending time with her daughters and granddaughter. Her bright spirit and loving nature will be truly missed.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Lorna Forget-Cormier of Worcester, and Leslie Forget of Marlborough; her granddaughter Brittany Cormier and her partner Paul Lechiara; and two great-grandchildren, Tayton and Kaelyn Lechiara.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street in Worcester, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
