Jason Joseph Bennett

March 30, 1978 — January 22, 2025

Worcester

Jason Joseph Bennett, 46, of Worcester, died January 22, 2025. Jason is survived by his son, Justin Bennett; his brothers and sister, Robert Bennett, Christopher and Ashley Mayotte; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda (Rocheleau) Bennett-Carruthers, his father, Mark Carruthers and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Jason lived with a love for adventure and a belief that life should be lived fully. He was a person who embraced the world with a carefree spirit, unafraid of much, and faced each day with boldness and energy. Jason constantly boasted about his son Justin. He also remained deeply connected to the people in his life and always tried to make meaningful connections with others that he met along the way. He had a way of drawing people in, making those around him feel welcomed and valued. Though he faced his share of struggles, Jason’s loyalty and commitment to those he cared about were unwavering. Despite the challenges he faced along the way, he gave his heart to those closest to him—and that’s how he’ll be remembered.

Jason attended Burncoat High School and later Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, MA, where he built many connections as well as continued his pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. His interests, from watching sports, cars, hats, jewelry, being the life of the party and also enjoying a good celebration, reflected his zest for life and his genuine enthusiasm for the things that brought him joy.

At this time a private service will be held and a mass to honor Jason’s life will be held in March.

His memory will live on, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Jason. You are free ~ JJB
