Jerauld “Jerry” V. Worrick, 61, of Oakham, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester.
He is survived by his mother; Patsy Worrick Sandini of Worcester, two sons; Cory and Dustin of Oakham, his brothers; Rick (Kathy) of Worcester, Jeff of Attleboro, Robert (Cathy) of OH, Michael (Jeanne) of SC, Larry of Worcester, and sister in law; Alison of Pittsfield, and many nieces and nephews, dear friends, neighbors, and co-workers who all held a special place in his life. He is predeceased by his elder brother Jimmy and father Richard Worrick.
Jerry was born on November 30, 1962, the son of Richard Worrick and Patsy Worrick Sandini in Worcester, MA.
He graduated from Burncoat high school. In his younger years he started landscaping and playing hockey, which he enjoyed and excelled at. He also worked at a facility building firetrucks for aircraft carriers, and finally landed at a company building, and dismantling smokestacks, and cooling towers. Jerry was a devoted foreman for Structural Group for over 20 years, where he travelled across the country, meeting new people, and truly enjoyed his job.
He loved going on yearly camping trips to Verona Beach in NY with brothers and close family. More recently, living in Oakham Campground, he enjoyed cracking a joke or doing anything for a laugh, and tending to his garden. He leaves behind a lot of people who cared about him dearly and will miss him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2025 for family and friends.
