Joseph R. Harvey, Jr.

WORCESTER: Joseph R. Harvey, Jr. , 60, of 1 Westminster St. , formerly of the Framingham/Natick area, died Thursday, October 8, 2009, at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, after becoming ill at home. He leaves his wife of 8 years, Deborah J. (Brown) Harvey; a son, Rick Harvey and his wife Cristina of Milford; a daughter, Jennifer Henderson and her husband Corey of Bellingham; a step-son, Austin Levesque and his wife Katie of Brooksville, FL; 2 step-daughters, Andrea Swirtz and her husband Peter of Glennallen, AK, and Christy Levesque of New Orleans, LA; 3 sisters, Jo Ann Nelson of Worcester; Sandra Waters of Virginia Beach, VA; Linda Osborne of Evanston, IN; 3 brothers, John R. Harvey of Pawtucket, RI; Jeffrey L Harvey of Wisconsin, Edward F. Foss of Evanston, IN; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Henderson and Jeremy, Dorothy, Maxwell Levesque; and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Syracuse, NY, son of the late Joseph R. Harvey, Sr. and Ruth M. (Fink) Harvey. He lived in the Framingham/Natick area for many years, retiring to Chesapeake, VA. He recently returned to Worcester to be closer to his family. His brother David E. Foss of Attleboro, died in 1996. Joe was the Northeast Regional Manager for the DeLeRue Corporation where he worked for many years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed kayaking, fishing, target shooting, cooking, and a good political argument. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
