Kathleen M. "Kay" Lee

WORCESTER: Kathleen M. "Kay" (Mara) Lee, 76, of 38 Dillon St. , died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 6, 2005, after an illness. She leaves her husband of 52 years, William T. Lee; two daughters, Donna M. Savas and her husband Christy of Worcester, Deborah Lee-Currier and her husband Tom of Worcester; three sons, William T. Lee, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Worcester, Edward S. Lee and his wife Kimberley of Auburn, James P. Lee and his wife Carol of Auburn; two sisters, Barbara Ackley of Oxford, Noreen Friend and her husband Tom of Yarmouth; eight grandchildren, Reagan Savas, Courtney Savas, Matthew Savas, Timothy Savas; Meggan Lee, Aimee Lee, Zackery Lee, Roy Hoel; and many nieces and nephews. Kay was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward S. and Mary (Kavanaugh) Mara, and lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School and was a member of Ascension Church for 46 years. She was a big Red Sox fan and enjoyed bingo, going to the movies, and spending time with her family. CALLING HOURS will be from 4 to 8 p. m. Wednesday, Mar. 9, in RICE FUNERAL HOME, 300 Park Ave. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10:30 a. m. on Thursday, Mar. 10, in ASCENSION CHURCH, 40 Vernon St. , followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery.
