Keith Arvin Rumple, 69, professional organist, computer programmer, loving father and husband, died this past March 1st. In lieu of services, a private celebration of life was held in his honor. Keith was a Hoosier through and through, showing his love for his origins every year as “Back Home Again in Indiana” is ceremoniously sung during the start of the Indy 500 race. He was born to Marvin Rumple and Roberta (Patton) Rumple. Keith was a gifted musician from a young age. He decided to pursue his passion for music, studying music and organ performance for both his undergraduate degree from Greenville College (1971) and his masters degree at Northwestern University. Being a multitalented and intelligent man, Keith then moved on to programming computers as a career. Keith was also a lover of animals. His first Basset Hound, Annabelle, was near and dear to his heart. By chance Keith and his future wife Lisa (Hinsman) Rumple met moving in next door from each other on the same day. It is at that place their romance began to blossom and Keith began his role as a caretaker to his future step son Tony Tierno. After some time dating, Keith and Lisa were married in 1994. They would then have a son, Joshua Keith Rumple, and in him Keith instilled his love of music and animals. Keith was a loving father, loving husband, talented home cook, and magnificent musician. He is predeceased by his parents, and sisters Karyl and Kimberly. He is survived by his wife Lisa (Hinsman), son Josh, and step son Tony, his wife Bethany and their four children, Ethan, Ella, Sophia and Nolan. His best friend and brother in law Kenny and his wife Linda. As well as nephews and nieces. His two sisters, Kathy, her husband Mick, and Karen as well as his nieces and nephews.
