WORCESTER: Kenneth P. McManus, 78, formerly of Frank St. , died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Beaumont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 378 Plantation St. , after a long illness. He leaves 2 cousins, Thomas J. Donahue, Jr. and his wife Rosie of West Boylston, Helen W. Reidy and her husband Fred of Milton, South Carolina; and several second cousins. He was born and raised in Jamaica Plain, son of the late Thomas P. and Mary C. (McGregor) McManus, graduated from State Teachers College of Boston, and was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He moved to Worcester over 20 years ago. Ken was a maintenance worker at Data General - EMC for 10 years until retiring in 1998. He enjoyed attending concerts of the Boston Pops and was an avid fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care they provided to Ken. A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 A. M. on SATURDAY OCT. 15 in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , followed by A FUNERAL MASS at 11 A. M. in BLESSED SACRAMENT CHURCH, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the Massachusetts Veteransâ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA.
