WORCESTER – Kurt Daniel LaRose, 31, died unexpectedly at home in Worcester on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Kurt was the beloved son of Daniel and Deborah (Strunz) LaRose.
He worked for several area companies as a framer and as a landscaper. He grew up in the Webster square area of Worcester. He loved music ,especially rap and socializing with his longtime friends that he loved - a tight knit group from "the neighborhood" that will all miss him dearly.
Kurt enjoyed cooking, and boy could he eat! He loved baseball hats which he used to control his wild curly hair. He enjoyed hunting and fishing alongside his father. Kurt also had a green thumb for gardening. And he could talk to anyone about anything.
Kurt had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around. Kurt was gentle, kind, and had a special way of filling the room with laughter. He cared deeply for his family, especially his younger sister and brother. He was an active caregiver taking care of his Meme. Kurt was a fan of the Red Sox, Celtics (especially), and Patriots. He spent much time cheering them on and cherished the memory of watching games with his Grandpa Jerry who predeceased him.
He is survived by his mother Deborah LaRose and her partner Richard Scales of Spencer, his father Daniel LaRose and his partner Jane Shou of Worcester, his sister Evelyn of Spencer, his brother Erik of Worcester, his paternal grandmother Margaret LaRose of Worcester, his maternal grandmother Mary Ellen Ripley Nsiah of Weymouth, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who all loved him dearly and will greatly miss him.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit Kurt’s family during services on Friday, February 2nd from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Kelly Cremation & Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
