Laurel A. Dewolfe

WORCESTER: Laurel A. (Korkus) DeWolfe, 67, of 50 Anna St. , died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, after a brief illness. Her husband of 33 years, Arthur W. âChickâ DeWolfe, Jr. , died January 8, 2005. She leaves her children, Robert Fraser of Auburn; Debra A. Flynn of Rutland, Tami J. Fraser of Butler, PA, Barbara L. Cassidy of Shrewsbury, Debbie A. Sweeney of Worcester, Joan-Marie Hill of Worcester, Kimberly A. DeWolfe of Worcester; a brother Thomas Gentesse of Worcester; 22 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a niece, and many friends. A granddaughter, Stephanie Lee Flynn, died in 1983. She was born in Worcester daughter of the late Francis X. and Helen M. (Cooke) Shiposki, and lived here all of her life. Laurel worked at Samâs Club for a short time. She previously worked for many years at the Salvation Army Thrift Stores. She loved spending time at the beach with her family and was an avid Patriots fan. She will be lovingly remembered by her family as âMamaBearâ who is now reunited with her PapaBear. There are no calling hours. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family. Kelly Funeral Home, 154 Lincoln St. , is assisting with arrangements. The family suggests donations in memory of Laurel be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. , Framingham, MA 01701.
