Leroy Bell

WORCESTER – Leroy Samuel Bell, age 81, died peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024, surrounded by the loving presence of his family.

Born in Boston, Roy was the son of Ellis and Dorothy (Thompson) Bell.  After graduating high school, he proudly served his country, with two tours of duty in the Navy during the Vietnam War.  Using the skills he learned in the Navy, Leroy pursued a decades-long career as a technician, eventually retiring from the United States Postal Service.

Leroy will be lovingly missed and remembered by his devoted wife of 40 years, Elaine (Langhorn) Bell; his remaining siblings, Donna, Robert, Ellis, Theresa and Sharon, his children, Michael Bell and his wife, Monique, Tanya Bell and her husband, Robin Thompson and her husband, Rick, Mark “Polo” Dale, Bryan Dale and Timothy Dale; his beloved grandchildren, Onaje Woodbine and his wife, Folasade, Leondra Dale, Amani Dale, Ahsan Dale, Na’eem Dale, Christian Dale, Tayyib Dale, Malachi Dale, Maryah and Jordan Muldrow; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Kaia, Keori, Sowande and Ewaolua.

Family and friends will gather for a Visitation honoring Leroy’s memory on Thursday, January 25th, at 1:00 pm, at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester.
