Lillian P. Landry

WORCESTER: Lillian P. (White) Landry, 93, formerly of Ashton St. , died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband William E. Landry, died December 8, 1964. She leaves a son, William E. Landry, Jr. and his wife Betty of Worcester and Daytona, FL; 2 daughters, Barbara H. Witt and her husband Dave of Worcester, Claire M. Israelson and her husband Alan of Holly Hill, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Bernadette R. Landry and a sister, Mary A. Lamoureaux, both predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary J. (Butler) White, and graduated from St. Peterâs High School in 1934. Lillian worked as a licensed practical nurse at St. Vincent Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1981. After retiring, she worked part time at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, and was also a volunteer at St. Francis Home. She was a long time member of St. Bernardâs Church and its Monday Afternoon Club. She enjoyed line dancing at St. Joan of Arc Parish Hall and baking. CALLING HOURS will be held from 5 to 7 P. M. on FRIDAY, July 31, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A. M. on SATURDAY, August 1, in ST. BERNARDâS CHURCH, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
