Luz Maria Ramos DeJesus, 55, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Friday, May 5, 2023. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Maria DeJesus Ramos and the late Guillermo Ramos. Luz resided in Milford for many years before moving to Worcester. Her kind and compassionate nature led her to pursue a career as a C. N. A. , caring for countless patients over the years. Her beautiful smile and contagious laughter were her trademarks. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching reality shows and the “oldies” including The Golden Girls and Friends just to name a few. Her home was filled with elephants and butterflies and her door was always open for Sunday dinners with the family. Luz was “the heart of the family” and she will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. She leaves behind her two sons, Jonathan Martins and William Santini, both of Attleborough; her mother, Maria DeJesus of Worcester; her sister, Ana Ramos and her niece, Sabrina Ramos, both of Worcester who lovingly cared for her during her illness; her boyfriend of many years with whom she lived, Luis Mercado of Worcester; her many siblings; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and her feline companion and best friend, Bandit. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 12 p. m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, 154 Lincoln Street, Worcester.
