Lydia Garcia

WORCESTER – Lydia E. Garcia, aged 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Viequez and raised in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, Lydia was the cherished daughter of Dimas Garcia and Margarita Torres. For the past 39 years, she resided in Worcester.

Lydia is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Juanito Morales; her children, Terecita Figueroa, Jose Figueroa, both of Worcester, Angel Figueroa of North Carolina, and Maria Figueroa of Florida; a brother, Marcelino Garcia of Florida; grand children Yasmin Rodriguez, Lydia Rodriguez, Juan Gonzalez, Alexia Gonzalez, Lydmarie Figueroa, Nyzaiah Ramos, Nyshiah Ramos, Lidializ Ramos, Izaiah Agosto, Jaylin Rodriguez, Alexavier Torres, Robert Cephas, Joniely Torres, Damarion Ramos, Kaylani Scott, Shane Jackson JR, Castile Miranda and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; extended family; and her dear beloved, Caramelo. In addition to her parents, Lydia was predeceased by her sister, Gladys Garcia, and her brother, Enrique Garcia.

She was known for her boundless love, care, and devotion, Lydia was an exceptional mother and wife who exuded a vibrant zest for life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and support Lydia’s family during visitation hours from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, April 9, at Kelly Cremation and Funeral Care, located at 154 Lincoln St., Worcester.
