Margaret A. Larson

WORCESTER: Margaret A. âPeggyâ (Welcome) Larson, 80, died peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus. Her husband of 58 years, David A. Larson, died August 3, 2018. She leaves a son, Mark D. Larson and his wife Becky of Douglas and Sandwich; two daughters, Donrue M. Larson of Whitinsville, Kellie A. Lainey and her husband Keith of Worcester; a brother, Donald V. Welcome of Oxford; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A son, Peter J. Larson, and a nephew, Paul O. Larson, both predeceased her. She was born in Chittenden, Vermont, daughter of the late Donald and Eva I. (Detori) Welcome and lived in Worcester most of her life. Peggy worked as a kitchen aide at the Lutheran Home for many years until she retired. She was a member of St. Bernardâs Church, now known as Our Lady of Providence Parish. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed old movies, dancing, oldies rock and roll, and watching baseball with a cold beer on a hot day. There are no calling hours, Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Johnâs Cemetery.
