WORCESTER: Margaret A. âPegâ Bowler, 70, of 27 Shaffner St. , died Thursday evening, February 16, 2012, after an illness. She leaves her mother, Evelyn M. (Fagerquist) Bowler of Millbury; 3 sisters, Anne S. Matson and her husband George of Merrimack, NH, Nancy M. Haig and her husband Daniel of Millbury, Karen E. Bisson and her husband Michael of Sterling; a brother, William Bowler of Worcester; many nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion and friend, Daniel Bartolomei of Falmouth, MA. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late William L. Bowler. She graduated from St. Peterâs High School and Quinsigamond Community College where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. Peg was a registered nurse at St. Vincent Hospital for many years. She later worked throughout Worcester County with PSA Healthcare until she retired. She was an active member and regular communicant of St. Johnâs Church and participated in its Daily Prayer Group and weekly Novenas. She was also a member of the Our Lady of Providence Womenâs Guild, the Worcester Womenâs Club and a long time member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. She enjoyed Celtic Music, step-dancing, Karaoke, her Irish-Catholic roots and spending time with her friends. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 11 A. M. on WEDNESDAY, FEB. 22 at ST. JOHNâS CHURCH, 40 Temple St. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
