BOYLSTON: Margaret D. "Peg" (Dyer) Slik, 84, of 723 Main St. , died Sunday, May 8, 2005, after a long illness. Her husband of 49 years, Michael J. Slik, died in 1996. She leaves two sons, Michael S. Slik and his wife Connie of Schenectady, NY, John A. Slik and his wife Sheila of Boylston; a sister, Therese D. "Terry" Martin and her husband Peter of Worcester; a brother, Joseph J. Dyer and his wife Joan of Pennsville, NJ; a granddaughter, Christina M. Slik of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. A sister, Helen M. Schofield and two brothers, William P. Dyer and Thomas C. Dyer, all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael C. and Julia M. (Brosnihan) Dyer, and graduated from St. Peter's High School in Worcester. She lived in Boylston more than 50 years. Peg worked as an occupational therapist at Worcester County Hospital in Boylston for 10 years, until she retired. She was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Church and its Women's Guild; the Ladies Auxiliary of the Barton-Brown-Button American Legion Post #398 in Boylston, the Boylston Democratic Town Committee and the Boylston Senior Citizen Society. She enjoyed arts, crafts, traveling and reading. CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday, May 10, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. , Worcester. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a. m. on Wednesday, May 11, in ST. MARY OF THE HILLS CHURCH, 630 Cross St. , Boylston, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston.
