WORCESTER: Mary A. (Flynn) Spasaro, 80, of 67 Greenhill Parkway, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Autumn Village, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 55 years, Joseph A. Spasaro, Sr. ; 4 sons, Joseph A. Spasaro, Jr. of Worcester, Dennis P. Spasaro of Worcester, Francis D. Spasaro, his wife Diane and their children Ryan and Nicole all of Southbridge, James M. Spasaro and his step-daughter Ashley of Worcester; a brother, Michael Flynn and his wife Patricia of East Greenwich, RI; many nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Patrick, David and Thomas Flynn, all predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Power) Flynn, and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Mary worked as a nurseâs aide at the former Salisbury Nursing Home for many years. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard's Church, now known as Our Lady of Providence Parish, where she enjoyed both volunteering as well as playing at the weekly church bingo. âMomâ was known for her caring heart and the open way she welcomed everyone into her home. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, traveling with her husband, as well as vacations and various activities with her grandchildren. CALLING HOURS will be from 3 to 6 P. M. on SUNDAY, DEC. 12 in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 A. M. on MONDAY, DEC. 13 in St. BERNARDâS CHURCH, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. Johnâs Cemetery.
